Complaint Regarding Disproportional Tax Assessments and Failure to Uphold Assessing Duties to NH Attorney General

"Pursuant to RSA 42:1, I respectfully request that the Attorney General investigate whether the Hampton Board of Assessors violated their assessing oath of office and failed to discharge their legal duties under the New Hampshire Constitution and state law. If warranted, Hampton taxpayers request that the Attorney General petition the Superior Court for their removal from office or seek their voluntary resignation.

Taxpayers further request that the State pursue appropriate legal remedies to invalidate the 2024 Statistical Revaluation performed by Municipal Resources, Inc., based on the findings of the Board of Tax and Land Appeals and evidence of disproportional assessments. As corrective relief, assessments should be restored to their 2023 values and the Town's tax rate adjusted accordingly for the remaining property tax bills."
