 = $402 (3,000 x .134)


2024 SHOULD BE GROSS TAX BILL

= $3,402 (402 + 3,000)


2024 ACTUAL GROSS PROPERTY TAX BILLS = $4,500

(take from 2024 second installment bill, the gross amount)


$1,500 or 50.0% INCREASE IN GROSS PROPERTY TAXES.


THE ADDITONAL INCREASE OF $1,098 or 36.6% IS ABOVE THE TOWNWIDE INCREASE, THEREFORE, THE ADDITIONAL PROPERTY TAXES RAISED IN HAMPTON WERE DISPROPORTIONALLY TAXED.

NOTES: 

-         THE INCREASE IN TAXES RAISED FOR 2024 WAS MORE THAN THE PAST FOUR YEARS’ INCREASES COMBINED.  ($8,811,763 FOR 2024 AND $5,866,162 FOR 2019 – 2023.)  

-         PER THE NEW HAMPSHIRE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE ADMINISTRATION (DRA), THE TOWN OF HAMPTON GROSS PROPERTY TAXES RAISED WERE $65,890,033 in 2023 and $74,701,796 in 2024, an increase of $8,811,763 or 13.4%.

-         GROSS PROPERTY TAXES WERE CALCULATED BY DRA FOR THE TOWN OF HAMPTON PER THE FOLLOWING YEARS:

2024 - $74,701,796

2023 - $65,890,033

2022 - $61,905,795 (BARNES AND ANY FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY WERE OUSTED FROM THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN)

2021 - $60,752,823

2020 - $60,154,407

2019 - $60,023,871
