Hampton’s Downtown “Vision” — Brought to You by Outsiders, Not Voters

The Town of Hampton has teamed up with Plan NH, a private planning organization, to run what they call a “charrette”—a two-day brainstorming session where outside consultants and interest-group professionals draft a “vision” for our Town Center.

Sounds harmless? Here’s the catch: these people aren’t elected and you never voted for this process. Yet the “recommendations” they cook up will be used to steer the future of our downtown.

This is how unelected special interests set the agenda: invite residents to a feel-good meeting, then claim community support for changes most of us never approved at the ballot box.
