Affordable housing issue front and center ahead of NH House sessionhttps://www.sentinelsource.com/news/local/affordable-housing-issue-front-and-center-ahead-of-nh-house-session/article_64546b56-b273-11ef-920b-8b58a137ddef.html
This article tells of ANOTHER committee in addition to the 'Special Committee on Housing' that was requested by a DAMNED REPUBLICAN. They are truly stacking the deck with taxpayer funded lobbies to ensure the passage of some of these bills.
In May, Peterborough voters passed Amendment 2, which proposed rescinding the current elderly housing ordinance to close a loophole enabling dense development anywhere in Peterborough. The amendment passed with 579 votes in support, 190 votes against. In summer 2023, a new state law gave developers the right to build projects, including workforce housing at the same density rate as local elderly housing ordinances.

The bottom line is that they will be again trying to override the voters with these bogus committees and put more of your tax dollars into subsidizing housing across the state.
