NH Department of Justice orders Hampton, NH town clerk to resign for Election Misconduct coming from the May 3, 2024 complaint filed with the state department.

"The investigation into Doheny’s administration of the local elections began May 3 with a complaint from Regina Barnes, a former member of the Hampton Board of Selectmen, according to O’Donnell’s letter.


Ten days later, Deputy Town Clerk Beth Frongillo resigned from her position with a resignation email that cited numerous concerns with Doheny’s conduct."

August 4, 2024 update




Due to the March 2024 citizen petitioned recount, the Hampton, NH selectmen petitioned the state legislatures to propose amendments to the state statute regarding petitioned town election recounts.


None of them seem to know details of the current statute they want to amend.


Maybe some of the Hampton selectmen should have kept their mouths shut.
