Town of Hampton, New Hampshire November 5 election prep.

Writer: NH MuckrakerNH Muckraker

From the Hampton Town Moderator:

"We need a group of people to count ballots this Thursday at 10 am at the town hall (meeting room downstairs).  The more people who sign up, the quicker we can get through the process."

This is one of the failures that was found during the citizen audit of the March town election. Town ballots were NOT reconciled prior to the town March election.

The citizen audit and subsequent complaints filed with the NHDOJ and the Superior Court case resulted in the resignation of the Hampton town clerk.

"The investigation was prompted by a May 3 complaint from Regina Barnes raising concerns about Doheny’s office’s handling of boxes of cast and uncast ballots after the town elections, and on May 13 Deputy Town Clerk Beth Frongillo resigned and in an email reported numerous concerns about the clerk’s handling of the Presidential Primary election and town election, the letter said."
